Wickenburg’s Habitat for Humanity New Home Build Project – Congress AZ

Construction on a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, single family home is expected to commence early fall, 2022.

Wickenburg Area Habitat for Humanity recently purchased a lot in Congress, AZ and is in the process of submitting building plans to Yavapai County for a residential building permit. This is the latest planned project for Wickenburg Habitat to partner with families, local contractors and volunteers in the community to build affordable housing.

Construction on the 1,300 sq. ft. ranch style home is expected to begin in the Spring of 2023 with anticipated completion in late Fall 2023. The home will feature 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a spacious open concept kitchen-dining-family room and separate mud/laundry room.  Undercover parking will also be provided in the form of an attached car port.  The lot size is approximately 1/2 acre,  with indigenous shade trees and a gravel driveway.

For more information about our home ownership program, qualifications and how to apply, please visit our “Home Ownership” page on the Wickenburg Area Habitat for Humanity website or click on the link here: Home Ownership. We will publish further information in an upcoming newsletter, on when we will begin pre-screening potential applicants, which is the initial phase of the homeownership application process.

At Wickenburg Area Habitat for Humanity we believe that all hard-working individuals and families should have access to the benefits and stability of homeownership. The low cost of our homes is made possible by the exceptional support of the people in our community. Because of their generosity, we are able to sell our homes, at no profit, to qualified families with a 0% interest mortgage loan.

This collaborative partnership is designed to provide a “hand up” versus a “hand out” to families in need of affordable housing.

We look forward to partnering with our next family on this exciting project.
