Individual Volunteers

Each year, over two million individuals throughout the world partner as volunteers with Habitat for Humanity International. And there is no greater need than at the local level. It is only through the generous contributions of our volunteers that we are able to positively impact the lives of the families in the communities we serve — and the blessings don’t stop there as more often than not, our volunteers are doubly blessed by the experience.

Volunteers are an essential and integral part of our Habitat family and we rely heavily on individuals willing to donate their time, skills and service; whether it’s helping to build a new home, spruce up an older home with a fresh coat of paint, or serve lunches and snacks to keep the workforce fueled.

Volunteers can also serve as Habitat board members or one of our committees, such as Construction, Family Services, Fundraising and Special events. Other opportunities are available through our local Habitat ReStore.

Regardless of skill level there is always an opportunity for volunteers to serve and make a difference in our community.

Volunteer To Build A Home

Volunteering on a Wickenburg area Habitat construction site can be one of the most gratifying, hands-on opportunities you could be a part of.

Any individual who wants to learn how to build a home is invited to join us; no experience is necessary. Volunteers work under the guidance of construction professionals and alongside other volunteers and future Habitat homeowners. Whether you are a seasoned skilled professional or have never swung a hammer, we will equip you with the appropriate training, tools and support you need to make this a positive experience at the end of the day.

From building new homes for low income families to repairing existing ones, our building volunteers are making a difference in the lives of families to provide them with safe shelter and pride of homeownership, which without the help of Habitat, may not be achievable.

ReStore

Volunteering at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a great way to give back to your community. Our ReStore sells new and gently used home goods and building materials. In turn, the proceeds from the sale of all goods and materials go to help fund the construction of Habitat homes for qualifying families in the Wickenburg area.

Our ReStore is open for business Tuesdays through Saturdays. So, stop by the ReStore and see how you can help make a difference in the community.

Non-Construction Volunteers

Not all volunteer opportunities for Habitat for Humanity involve swinging a hammer. As a key component of our office operations, behind-the-scenes volunteers can donate their time and talents to support our admin staff, help with fundraising and community events, or assist with special projects.

We have opportunities to serve in our Wickenburg area office, Monday through Friday, as well as flexible scheduling for special projects and events. If you are not sure where you could best serve, our Habitat staff are happy to find a place for you that best aligns with your skill set or passion.
